I enjoyed those descriptions of the sea as well. What stuck out to me is the references to Baudelaire. Several times in the last few months, reading Proust has reminded me of Baudelaire. I was pleased to see him mentioned twice in this month's reading assignment. I guess Proust liked the guy too!

I have gone back and read some of Les Fleurs de Mal, which I hadn't done pretty much since high school. I selected one poem I'd like to read at the April meeting, plus passages of a few others. Mind if I do? I think it would go nicely with your theme, even though it's not a tangible object.

Yes! You will make it tangible. I want to go back and reread Baudelaire too -- but alas I am stuck with translations!
