For the next meeting, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, we will read to the end of Part II: Chapter One of The Guermantes Way, Volume III.
This falls on p. 472 of Volume III in the Modern Library (Moncrieff / Kilmartin / Enright) six-volume edition.
The last sentence in the reading for this month is:
"On that funeral couch, death, like a sculptor of the Middle Ages, had laid her down in the form of a young girl."
That's only 115 pages, so this is a great time for those who have fallen behind a bit to catch up!
En Français: "Sur ce livre funèbre, la mort, comme le sculpteur du moyen âge, l'avait couchée sous l'apparence d'une jeune fille."
